Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 – Hilsa Fish Tour Begins
After breakfast, depart Kolkata and head to Godkhali by air-conditioned car or van. From there, board a boat to Gosaba, a bustling local market island. Continue to your resort on Dayapur Island and enjoy lunch. Later, explore the scenic village of honey collectors and fishermen, followed by a bird-watching boat ride through the mangroves, spotting kingfishers, egrets, and other wildlife. In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance with local tribal dance and music before dinner and an overnight stay at the resort.
Day 2 – Sundarban Jungle Safari
Begin your adventure with a luxury boat cruise through the Sundarbans, one of the largest mangrove forests in the world. With a forest guide, visit key spots like Sajnekhali, Sudhanyakhali, and Dobanki Watch Towers. Explore creeks and rivers while trying to spot deer, wild boars, crocodiles, dolphins, and possibly the Royal Bengal Tiger. All meals are served on the boat during the cruise.
Day 3 – Farewell to the Sundarbans

*Passengers can book their seats in advance by paying a sum of Rupees for Sundarban 2,000/-. The balance amount is to be paid before the commencement of journey.

How to Reach Sundarban from Kolkata –
Sundarban is just about 30 km from Kolkata and takes roughly 1–1.5 hours to reach. The main entry point is Godkhali Ferry Ghat, the gateway to Sundarban National Park. Here are the top travel options:
By Car:
Hire a private car or taxi from Kolkata to Godkhali (approx. 25–30 km). Two main routes: Via Baruipur – Canning Road / Via Basanti Highway (SH3)
By Bus:
Limited buses run from Kolkata to Godkhali. Confirm schedules in advance. From Godkhali, motorboats and houseboats take you deep into the mangrove forest. Advance booking of Sundarban Ilish Utsav packages is recommended.
By Train:
Board a Canning Local from Sealdah Station (hourly service). The 45 km ride takes around 1 hr 15 mins with 18 scenic stops. On reaching Canning, local autos or reserved cars take you to Godkhali Jetty for your boat cruise and Hilsa Festival Sundarban tour.
